Summary

The Artisphere Communications Strategist is a forward-thinking and creative professional, adept at crafting engaging content and messaging for Artisphere’s diverse stakeholders. This role involves managing the Artisphere brand, from standards and design to tone and voice, across various platforms and media.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop, budget, and implement a comprehensive communications plan to establish a clear, strong, and highly visible community presence.
  • Create an integrated strategy that includes storytelling and testimonials to promote the organization’s mission and expand the stakeholder base.
  • Utilize out-of-market methods to drive visitor traffic and enhance economic impact.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure communications remain fresh and relevant.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Arts Programs Director to identify key artist images and compelling stories for promotional use.
  • Work with the Development Director to plan sponsor and patron communications, identifying opportunities for unique interactions to build loyalty.
  • Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media, providing them with unique coverage opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; confident and articulate public speaker.
  • Creative and well-organized with exceptional attention to details.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner with confidence and precision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Facility with commonly used technology tools and platforms that support communications activities (WordPress, Adobe, MailChimp, Canva, JotForm, etc.)
Compensation package
  • $60,000-$65,000 plus comprehensive insurance plan.
  • Nine (9) paid holidays plus Personal Time Off based on time of employment.
