SCAC posts two open positions

This morning, the SCAC posted two positions of need for the agency as it expands its ability to promote equitable access to the arts and support the cultivation of creativity in South Carolina.

Both positions are based in the Columbia office.


Office Manager

The S.C. Arts Commission seeks a technology savvy, creative, and personable individual to perform with excellence while aiding the agency in meeting its mission. Under the supervision of the executive director, the office manager (Arts Coordinator I) will provide expert level administrative support, coordination, management, and implementation of projects under the direction of program and/or department directors. They will manage the executive director’s calendar and the agency’s office procedures to ensure visitors and meetings are covered.

Assistant Grants Coordinator

The South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) seeks a personable and organized assistant grants coordinator with experience in customer service, data processing, and arts administration. Our ideal candidate will share our mission and values and have the ability to work closely with a broad cross-section of constituents to provide excellent customer service in support of SCAC programs and services statewide.

The assistant grants coordinators serve as the primary customer service representative for all agency grantmaking and ensure accurate and efficient processing of grants from application to final report in a cloud-based grants management system. Working under supervision of the grants manager, they serve as members of the SCAC grants team and play a vital role in working with constituents, grantees, schools, organizations, and partner entities.

  • Grants Office administration and customer service
