SCAC board to hold special called meeting Oct. 1

The Board of Commissioners of the South Carolina Arts Commission is announcing a special called meeting next week to take a deciding vote on FY27 operating support funding for two additional arts organizations.

The commissioners voted at their August meeting to request more information and hold them over for a vote until the regularly scheduled Oct. 15 meeting. That meeting will remain on the calendar without this agenda item.

The meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, 2-2:30 p.m. on Zoom only. There will not be an in-person meeting to attend.
