The South Carolina Arts Commission is looking for a talented individual with experience creating visually compelling content to be its first multimedia manager.
The multimedia manager will be responsible for creating content for various media and platforms to enhance the agency’s digital presence and storytelling efforts. This role involves conceptualizing, producing, and editing multimedia content that aligns with our brand identity and strategic goals to increase access to the arts statewide. The multimedia manager will collaborate closely with the communications team to ensure consistency and effectiveness in telling and sharing our work with diverse audiences.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, technical proficiency, and a keen understanding of visual storytelling principles.
- They will be a creative, adaptable, and curious individual who meets deadlines, is organized and resourceful, and is comfortable multitasking.
- They will maintain a fluence in current trends and concepts for photography, videography, print and electronic/graphic design to appropriately add the SCAC’s voice to relevant discussions and raise the agency profile.
- They will travel the state as needed to document arts programs to tell the SCAC’s story.
Preferred qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree* in communications, broadcasting, journalism, video production, animation, graphic design, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working in multimedia production with a strong portfolio of work.
- Knowledge of best practices in digital marketing and social media.
- Advanced filmmaking and editing skills.
