Standing Out! A marketing and accounting workshop for artists

Artists from around South Carolina (and beyond) are invited to register for Standing Out!, a marketing and accounting workshop offered by The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg and the Johnson College of Business and Economics at USC Upstate.

Standing Out! takes place Friday, Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Johnson College of Business, located next door to the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg. The registration fee of $60 includes lunch and materials.

The workshop covers three topics:

• Branding, positioning and creating a distinctive identify based on you and your art.
• Understanding marketing channels and building your relationships with galleries and the public.
• An easy way to track your income and expenses. Participants will receive a flash drive with accounting guides.
