Arts and community are on the menu at new ‘cafe’ now open in Cayce

So, today we learned the term makery. The context? A cafe, but for making art:
Jenna Mae Taylor, the business’s CEO and lead artist, told Free Times that, at first glance, the space at 2006 State St. resembles a restaurant, with large tables and decorations that set the scene with a vibe steeped in maximalism and dark academia.
But at Carolina Arts Cafe and Studios, there is one big difference — instead of food, this cafe’s menu features art.
For Taylor, the new business … is all about making a community-centered space where art is accessible, enjoyable and woven into everyday life.
