The University of South Carolina School of Music is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 Music Teaching Artist Certificate (MTAC) Program—a fully funded, one-semester professional development opportunity for musicians who want to make an impact through teaching.
The MTAC Program, supported by the Gretsch Foundation, equips musicians with the tools to become effective teaching artists who expand music learning opportunities across South Carolina, especially in rural and underserved communities. Participants receive comprehensive instruction, mentorship, and hands-on teaching experience, culminating in a capstone project.
