The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a free, self-guided tour of participating farms and markets in participating counties that runs on weekends in May and June.

Relevant to Hub readers, local artisans can be found at every stop. During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to see first-hand where their food comes from, watch (or hear) artists in action, and support those artists by purchasing their works, and learn more about rural life.

The tour bills itself as “the largest free farm and art tour in the nation with over 85,000 visitors participating since 2012.” There are 20(!!) participating counties in 2024, 10 times the initial two from the inaugural year of 2012. Clemson Extension organizes the tour in conjunction with each county.

Farms are open Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ag + Art Tour offers a handy map here.
