SCAC posts four coordinator-level positions

Agency expansion allows for new roles

Three just-posted positions at the SCAC will help expand the agency’s ability to provide statewide arts services to constituents much closer to where they live.

Another will play a key role in providing dedicated, direct constituent service to #SCArtists and arts organizations.

The postings, four total, are open for applications through Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Arts Hub Coordinator

  • APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, February 10, 2026; 11:59 p.m. ET
  • COMPENSATION INFORMATION: $48,000-$51,000 / FT / State benefits

Background

Arts Hub Regions are coming online in regions that cover the state. Using a collective impact model, the hubs are giving the SCAC a new way to serve residents and visitors alike. Pooling resources in geographically similar regions puts agency services nearer to more constituents than ever. Each region is to be anchored in an easily accessible and familiar place and managed by someone on the SCAC team who lives there, serving their neighbors while carrying out our mission.

As the program begins, the SCAC is starting by hiring coordinators for these regions:

  • Upstate/Western Piedmont (based in Greenville).
  • Pee Dee/Grand Strand (based in Florence).
  • Olde English (based in Rock Hill).

Position highlights

The successful candidate will coordinate the SCAC hub for each listed region, to include its office, events, and scheduling. They will serve as the initial constituent service representative, implementing initiatives including grants, partnerships, peer networks and external resources. They will work with staff, grantees, and other constituents to carry out the mission and strategic plan of the SC Arts Commission in the assigned Arts Hub Region.

  • A significant component of these roles includes all aspects of event management, from contract to break down.
  • Relationship building in each region is critical as relationships are fostered with artists, arts administrators, organizations, community representatives, school districts, colleges/universities, other governmental agencies, and even other Arts Hub Regions.
  • Coordinators will have to build and maintain a broad knowledge of all SCAC grants, programs, and networks to connect constituents with resources.
  • There will be a portfolio of grants to manage, as well as serving to connect constituents with program specialists for advisement on specific grants.

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with three (3) years of experience in arts administration and/or community engagement. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the degree, however.

Work with the deputy directors includes meeting and travel coordination, among other duties.

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with three (3) years of experience the assigned programmatic area(s). An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the degree, if necessary.
