Park Circle Gallery to feature #SCArtists group ceramics exhibition
The City of North Charleston’s Cultural Arts Department is pleased to announce SHAPERS II, the second iteration of the salon-style exhibition of Charleston-based ceramic sculpture artists.

Shapers II is a group exhibition of ceramic sculptures curated by local artist and educator Cristina Victor on display at Park Circle Gallery from July 1-Aug. 1. The public is welcome to attend a free public reception at the gallery on Friday, July 10, from 5-7 p.m.
SHAPERS II recognizes an incredibly dynamic and skilled community of makers and educators in the Lowcountry. The maximalist exhibition features work by 30 artists highlighting various approaches to sculpting with clay, ranging from figurative, architectural, representational, abstract and vessels that tight rope function and play. Participating artists include: Allison McDermott, Amy Amstutz, Annie Rhodes Lee, Ashley Perez (Harlow Studio), Ashley Rose Stanol, Beatrice Bernier, Carol Frances, Carrie Helmkamp, Holly Benton, Jillian Williams, Jim Sweeney (Harlow Studio), Josie Buffington, Kathleen Gunning, Katy Mixon, Lani Stringer, Laura Barroso, Margaret Weinberg, Maria White, Martha McLeod, Marty Biernbaum, Mary Royce, Miyako Fujiwara, Morgan Kinne, Patricia Nelson, Ruth Ballou, Savannah Strickroth, Susan Gregory, Susan Klein, Susanna Kopchains, and Tyler Carney.
The Park Circle Gallery is located at 4820 Jenkins Avenue in North Charleston. Admission is free and free street parking is available on Jenkins Avenue in front of the gallery, as well as on the adjacent streets and in parking lots close by. Gallery hours are 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and Noon-4 p.m on Saturday. The gallery will be closed on Saturday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.
