The Simpsonville Arts Center is a vibrant center for the performing and visual arts. Built in 1939 and formerly the home of Simpsonville Elementary School and High School, the Center is the catalyst for bringing people together to enjoy a variety of arts in the community. A lobby art gallery features a rotating art exhibit, and six large studios are leased on a yearly basis to performing and visual artists, including painters, potters, glass artists, fabric collage artists, art teachers and music teachers. The Center is home to the in-residence community theatre company, the Mill Town Players, with an auditorium equipped with a state of the art sound and lighting system, seating for 380 (369 fixed seats and 11 Accessible seats), a large green room and four dressing rooms.
