Pickens County Museum of Art and History

 

Managed by the Pickens County Cultural Commission, the Pickens County Museum of Art and History is a public, nonprofit educational institution whose purpose is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret the cultural and natural history of the County and surrounding geographic region. The Commission also provides cultural enrichment, intellectual stimulation, learning opportunities and appreciation of the visual and performing arts for the enjoyment of the County’s citizenry and visitors.

Located at the corner of Hwy. 178 at 307 Johnson Street in Pickens S.C. the museum is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Admission is free but donations are welcomed.
