Founded in 2011, Blue Moon Ballroom is the only full-service dance studio and event rental venue in West Columbia’s growing River District. Blue Moon Ballroom offers lively group classes and private lessons in all the popular social dances—Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Salsa, East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Samba, Bolero, American Tango, Mambo, Merengue—as well as Carolina Shag.

Wedding dances are among our specialties.
Our dance parties happen every Friday night at 7:30 PM, and the first Friday features our house band, the Carl Payne Big Band! Annual parties include our Swing in the New Year, Hearts & Jazz (Valentine’s Day), Once in a Blue Moon (whenever a real Blue Moon is on the astronomical calendar), Winter Holiday, and March Madness. Come celebrate with dance—everyone is welcome.
