University of SC Beaufort’s Beaufort Center for the Arts
The University of South Carolina Beaufort founded the Center for the Arts in 2010 to answer the need for a regional focal point for the performing and visual arts. This central facility improves access to cultural events for citizens of the Beaufort area and its visitors, and supports the school’s goal of developing a full-service arts campus in the city of Beaufort.
CFA programming touches all groups of citizens and most businesses – theatergoers, school children and their parents, opera aficionados, film buffs, classical music lovers, fans of musical productions, and local artists and performers. The programming includes The Met: Live in HD, Indie Film Series, Beaufort Theatre Company, Beaufort Children’s Theatre, and Professional Touring Groups. CFA’s theatre and its equipment is “the only game in town” for these high quality, internationally acclaimed offerings.
