SC Humanities offers literary programming grants

South Carolina Humanities offers Fast Track Literary Grants to support new or existing public literary programs such as (but not limited to) writers series, festivals, conferences, workshops, or writer’s residencies at schools. Awards are $3,000 or less. For the fiscal year 2017, applications will be accepted quarterly on the following deadlines: Monday, November 14, 2016 Monday, February 13, 2017 Monday, May 15, 2017 Monday, August 14, 2017 The grant application is available online. The Fast Track Literary Grant also receives support from the South Carolina Arts Commission.

The next deadline is Aug. 15, 2016. Submissions are accepted by email until 5 p.m. The Fast Track Literary Grant also receives support from the South Carolina Arts Commission. The Humanities CouncilSC offers new Fast Track Literary Grants

The Humanities CouncilSC  has launched a new grant category available to South Carolina nonprofit organizations and public institutions. The Fast Track Literary Grant is intended to support new or existing public literary programs such as (but not limited to) writers series, festivals, conferences, workshops, or writer’s residencies at schools. Applications will be accepted quarterly, and the first deadline is November 16, 2015, for programs that begin after January 1, 2016. The Fast Track Literary Grant, one of The Humanities CouncilSC’s new literary initiatives announced in July 2015, has a streamlined, two-page application form and will consider requests up to $3,000 for the pilot year. The mission of The Humanities CouncilSC is to enrich the cultural and intellectual lives of all South Carolinians. Established in 1973, this 501(c) 3 organization is governed by a volunteer 23-member Board of Directors comprised of community leaders from throughout the state.  It presents and/or supports literary initiatives, lectures, exhibits, festivals, publications, oral history projects, videos and other humanities-based experiences that directly or indirectly reach more than 250,000 citizens annually.
