Call for Art – Red Rose Sculpture Exhibition and Competition
Avant Garde Center for the Arts will host the Red Rose Sculpture Exhibition and Competition in downtown Lancaster, S.C., on May 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event will be held at Red Rose Park, 118 S. Main Street during the fifth annual Red Rose Festival. The sculpture show is juried, and prizes and honorariums will be awarded to all participants. Call for artisans – Olde English District Holiday Show
Application deadline is Sept. 30.
Artisans, craftsmen, and holiday vendors are invited to participate in the Artisans of the Olde English District Holiday Show in downtown Lancaster, S.C. The indoor show will be held at 212 S. Main Street on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. as part of the Red Rose Holiday Tour. The show is a partnership of nonprofit agencies Avant Garde Center for the Arts and Olde English District Welcome Center & Artists Market.
This holiday market will feature handmade arts and crafts, holiday-related vendors and entertainers. (Examples of artisans already accepted into the market: McRose Designs, above, and Jennifer Hamilton, right.)
