‘Find Joy in Art’ with the SCAF

Every holiday season lately, the South Carolina Arts Foundation issues a special release of a holiday card featuring the work of a South Carolina artist, helping you and others to “Find Joy in Art.”

If you have not placed an order for 2023 Find Joy in Art cards, you still have some time!

This year’s card features work by South Carolina artist Phil Garrett. His paintings and prints are in numerous collections, both private and institutional, including those of Bank of America, the Gibbes Museum of Art, the South Carolina State Museum, and the South Carolina Arts Commission.

The South Carolina Arts Foundation directs the profits from the Find Joy in Art Card project to the Nina Liu Fund for the South Carolina Arts Commission State Art Collection. Income from that endowment supports the State Art Collection. For example, proceeds from the endowment provided for the acquisition of a 1989 mixed media piece by Ellen Kochansky on the secondary market.

Each card is $10, and there is a minimum order of five cards.  The SCAF will distribute cards in early December.
