Virtual Columbia Baroque Concert: “Broadside Ballads”

Join Columbia Baroque as scholar Sarah Williams traces a 17th century English tune, “Cold and Raw,” from a Broadside Ballad music pamphlet through to Purcell, plus music for harpsichord, gamba, recorder, violin, and cello, including tunes from Playford’s The Dancing Master. Performers for the concert are Brittnee Siemon, mezzo-soprano; Jean Hein, baroque recorder; Mary Hostetler Hoyt, baroque violin; Hazel Ketchum, lute; Jerry Curry, harpsichord; and Cecilia Hoyt, cello.
