UofSC Fall Literary Festival with Jacqueline Woodson

The 2021 University of South Carolina virtual Fall Literary Festival welcomes children’s and young adult book author Jacqueline Woodson, poet Robyn Schiff and Aminatta Forna, novelist and memoirist.

Woodson will give a virtual reading Wednesday, October 13 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Jacqueline Woodson is a children’s and young adult book author best known for Miracle’s Boys and her Newbery Honor-winning titles Brown Girl Dreaming, After Tupac and D Foster, Feathers, and Show Way. After serving as the Young People’s Poet Laureate from 2015 to 2017, she was named the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature for 2018 – 19. She was recently named a MacArthur Fellow and received the Hans Christian Anderson Award in recognition of lifelong achievement and lasting contribution to children’s literature.
