The Fantasticks

The Fantasticks is the longest-running musical in the world. With breathtaking poetry and subtle theatrical sophistication, it is pure and simple and transcends cultural barriers. The narrator, El Gallo, asks the audience to use their imagination and follow him into a world of moonlight and magic. Two teenagers on neighboring farms steal glances and hide their romance from their feuding fathers. However, the fathers are actually good friends who have hatched a plan—with help from a mystical roving sideshow and its equally mysterious ringmaster—to get the two lovebirds down the aisle. Book & Lyrics by Tom Jones. Music by Harvey Schmidt. Directed by Richard Cowan.

Performances: April 29, 30 and May 1, 6, 7, 8, 2022. Friday & Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
