Screening of The Art of the Steal
Spartanburg Art Museum continues its series of free art movie screenings with The Art of the Steal, June 25th at 7 pm. This 2009 documentary follows the struggle for control of Dr. Albert C. Barnes’ 25 billion dollar collection of modern and post-impressionist art. The film runs one hour and 41 minutes and will be projected onto the 15-foot-high walls of the Museum. The screening will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with museum curators. This is a family-friendly event, with fresh popcorn and a cash bar.
