Quilters: The Musical

The Broad River Arts Center will present Quilters, the joyous and inspiring musical commemoration of American pioneer women, by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7, 8, 14 and 15, as well as 3 p.m. Feb. 9 and 16.

Nominated for six Tony awards, Quilters is a valentine from American history. It traces the heroic journey of a family through a tapestry of scenes and songs celebrating their courage, resilience and love. Their journey is told by Sarah Bonham and her daughters through quilt patterns known as blocks, with each one representing a piece of their lives.
