People, Places and Things by Duncan Macmillan

Trustus Theatre presents People, Places and Things; a mesmerizing trip into addiction, rehab, identity, and ultimately, recovery. The story focuses on Emma, a 30-something actress who thinks she is having the time of her life, until she finds herself in rehab. Her first step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn’t with Emma; it’s with everyone else. And when intoxication feels like the only way to survive, how can she ever sober up?
Trustus partners with community organizations LRADAC and The Courage Center to bring real-life experts to the space. Sunday matinee performances of the play will feature a post-show talkback with guests from LRADAC and The Courage Center to talk about recovery and the role of addiction in arts-based communities.
Performances are Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 27 through Oct. 12.
