One Word Poetry Festival

Rock Hill (SC) Poet Laureate, Angelo Geter, in conjunction with the Rock Hill Poet Laureate Committee, Arts Council of York County and Comporium are pleased to announce the second annual, “One Word Poetry Festival,” which will take place from March 30 through April 3, 2022. The first festival in 2021 attracted a crowd of approximately 500 people. Events taking place during this year’s five-day festival will include a Creative Writing Showcase by Winthrop University students, a Youth Open Mic, and an Adult Open Mic featuring performances/readings from local poets accompanied with a live painting by Devon Ford and live music from Rock Hill Hall of Fame group Mellogroove.
