Mini Trunk Show & “Quilts with a Sense of Humor” by Jerre Reese

The Horry County Museum will host a “Mini Trunk Show” by local quilter Jerre Reese, Thursday, March 25th at 1 p.m. View just a few of her miniature quilts and learn how she makes them. She will also give a program on “Quilts with a Sense of Humor” March 18th at 1 p.m. This light-hearted trunk show of amusing quilts features subjects from holidays to animals. Reese grew up in Detroit, MI and began sewing at around 10 years old. She began quilting about 42 years ago and has been doing it ever since. At first she did everything by hand, but she switched to machine work as it became more acceptable… and, because she wanted to finish more than two quilts per year!
