Make Us Visible SC

Make Us Visible SC is South Carolina’s local chapter of the national nonprofit Make Us Visible which activates and empowers local communities to build curriculum and advocate for the integration of Asian American contributions, experiences, and histories in K-12 classrooms. We are launching on May 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a community event hosted by the Columbia Museum of Art at Boyd Plaza. We have partnered with AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander)-owned businesses and organizations, as well as others that support our mission. There will be an array of AAPI food, music, dances, demonstrations, raffle prizes, and a student panel. We will also be giving out our Make Us Visible coloring book full of Asian American pioneers.
