Let’s Discuss… Spanish Moss – Draped in Time Gallery Talk

A gallery talk presented by The Johnson Collection, given by curator Landon Bryant discussing the exhibition Draped in Time. A native of Laurel, Mississippi, Landon Bryant with his clever and insightful conversations, was profiled by The New York Times as a southern voice with a “soft drawl that cloaks a devilishly sly sense of humor, [and he] has become a fixture on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with his explanation and exploration of what it means to be Southern.” During his gallery talk, he will discuss the inspiration, curation process, and how Spanish moss performs multifarious roles as a recurrent backdrop for the many diverse and interconnected stories that the South has to tell. Draped in Time, the exhibition, will run from May 8 to July 20, 2024.
