Lecture: “Pride” – Art Created Through Student Collaboration With the Gullah Community

Students of Coastal Carolina University’s Institute for Gullah and African Diaspora Studies have worked through interaction and collaboration with Gullah community members to create books and exhibits as part of their research projects. CCU’s Alli Crandell and Eric Crawford will give a lecture on “Pride,” the subject of those research projects, as part of Brookgreen Gardens’ Reign of Rice Lecture Series, March 21st at 1:00 pm in Brookgreen’s Low Country Center in Murrells Inlet. The lecture is free with Garden admission, but seating reservations are required (call 843-235-6049).

The 2020 Creative Education Winter Programs have been generously sponsored in part by Carolyn Riley in memory of Dick Riley.
