Hutty: The Art of Observation

Florence County Museum introduces a new exhibition featuring the renowned prints of Charleston Renaissance artist, Alfred Hutty. Hutty was the first American elected to the British Society of Graphic Art, with his work often depicting the trees found within the landscapes in which his artistic career placed him.

Visit the Education Gallery located on the first floor of the museum to learn more about these trees and the printmaking process. See his lithographs, dry-points, and etchings firsthand and be challenged to identify a tree by name through digital and tactile learning opportunities.

Hutty: The Art of Observation is on view now through May 3, 2024.
