Holding Patterns and Breaking Points: Tensions of Consumption and Craft
Kristy Bishop, a multidisciplinary artist based in Charleston is showing new work in a solo show at Nidum Gallery at Storehouse Nine on the Old Navy Base. The opening reception is July 11 from 6-9 p.m. The exhibit will be on view from July 11-August 1. This solo show will feature sculptural work created from reclaimed ratchet straps that were disposed at the Port of Charleston. These pieces along with her ongoing woven band series and gouache paintings will be on view together for the first time.
