FELT Expressions: A Fiber Art Exhibition by Cecilia Ho

“Felt It. Love it. Treasure It.” Memories are created through the process of felting. With natural fibers, felt can be handcrafted in a range of formations, shapes, textures & colors. FELT Expressions, an exhibit by Greenville fiber artist Cecilia Ho, is on display in the Crutchfield Gallery at the Spartanburg County Headquarters Library. Inspired by geodes, with especially colorful linings of banded agate, this collection of organic wool felt displays one of nature’s many creative expressions. Unique felt patterns are naturally formed by Merino sheep wool, Mulberry silk and TENCEL™ – cellulosic fibers from wood pulp, via the traditional wet felting, modern needle felting & nuno felting process. The exhibition is on view July 8th through September 9th at Spartanburg County Public Headquarters Library. Please contact the library for current hours and safety measures.
