Documentary Film – Lions in Blue & Gray: Joshua Chamberlain & Stonewall Jackson

The Horry County Museum’s Documentary Film Series continues with the locally produced film Lions in Blue & Gray: Joshua Chamberlain & Stonewall Jackson. Produced and narrated by historian Rod Gragg, this film follows the lives of two leading Generals in the American Civil War.
As Colonel of the 20th Maine Infantry, Joshua Chamberlain is credited by many as saving the battle of Gettysburg for the Union Army through his defense of Little Round Top. Stonewall Jackson was renowned as a southern military genius and was known as General Robert E. Lee’s “right arm” before his death following the battle of Chancellorsville.
The free screening starts at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6.
