Revised Call for Public Art: A Great Place to Bee
With the completion of the FUSE District and new multi-use stadium with a team called the Honey Hunters, Keep Gastonia Beautiful’s Art Committee has been motivated to create ways to flourish our downtown with public art and education on bees. We are currently looking for an artist who could fabricate bee-inspired art piece(s) as a creative way for Keep Gastonia Beautiful to showcase its Bee City USA affiliation. This will allow us to better educate our community about the importance of bees and pollinators through public art. This project, titled “Great Place to Bee” has the potential to create a “buzz” of excitement and interest for our new $26.2-million-dollar multi-use stadium. Budget is $30,000-$42,000. RFQ online.
