Bach Festival Program III: Organ Recital
The Bach Society of Charleston celebrates the 350th anniversary of the Charles Towne Landing with Bach Festival 2020, honoring Charleston’s founding in music. In Program III, acclaimed concert organist Paul Thomas offers a program of works by J. S. Bach and his contemporaries, including Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fisher, considered among the greatest Baroque-era composers for harpsichord, who was born in 1670, the same year as Charleston’s founding. This free recital begins at 1:00 PM, March 7th at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul in Charleston.
