Art Columns on the Greenway: Call for Artists

In recognition of Lancaster County’s rich history in textile arts, the Lancaster County Council of the Arts invites artists from the Southeast to submit their original designs for a new public art initiative: Art Columns on the Greenway.

This installation will include 40 permanent art columns along the Lindsay Pettus Greenway in Lancaster, SC. Each column will feature a unique piece of art, inspired by a historic Springs Industries textile design. The first phase, which includes 12 columns, was installed in July 2026. The second phase, which is now open for entries, will be installed Spring 2027. Entries are due November 30, 2026.
