Applications open for South Carolina Biennial 2025

701 Center for Contemporary Art opens 8th survey exhibition

APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EDT

701 Center for Contemporary Art in Columbia seeks submissions for the 701 CCA South Carolina Biennial 2025, the center’s eighth survey exhibition of work by contemporary South Carolina artists.

Artists working in all media and styles are encouraged to apply. Artists must be a current resident of South Carolina. The exhibition will be held at the center in two parts with openings in late summer and fall.

Biennial Part I – Aug. 21-Oct. 5, 2025

Biennial Part II – Nov.6-Dec. 21, 2025

• Artist reception: Thursday, Nov. 13, 6-8 p.m.
