tick, tick… BOOM! at Trustus Theatre
Coming up next on our Thigpen Main Stage is another Trustus favorite making its return: tick, tick… BOOM! This autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning composer of RENT, is the story of a composer and the sacrifices that he made to achieve his big break in theatre. The show features Trustus Company Members Michael Hazin and Katie Leitner as Jon and Susan, newcomer Andrew Mullin as Michael, and reunites the team behind one of Trustus’ most beloved shows, RENT: Dewey Scott-Wiley, Chris Cockrell, and Terrance Henderson. With 14 songs, 10 characters, three actors and a band, tick, Tick… BOOM! takes you on the playwright/ composer’s journey that led to a Broadway blockbuster.
Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. (except Jan. 23). Talkback following February 6 matinee.
