Artist Meet & Greet with Gina Moore
Columbia-based artist Gina Moore is the latest in a string of contemporary artists to display their work at the Stanley Arts Center in rural Hampton County. The exhibit features features a mix of non-objective works and pieces from her “Heredity” series. These works are derived from vintage family photos, recapturing nostalgic memories and personal reflections. Group and individual portraits are rendered using mixed media and/or graphite on various found and repurposed objects/surfaces, many reclaimed from antique furniture. A reception will be held at 7 p.m. May 1st at the Stanley Arts Center at 105 Lee Avenue in Hampton, SC. Mind Gravy Poetry will be on hand to present ekphrastic poetry readings. Light Refreshments will be provided and wine will be available for cash donation.
