Electric City Playhouse
Electric City Playhouse is a Non-Profit Community Theatre located at 514 North Murray Avenue, Anderson, SC 29625. Presenting a combination of plays, musicals, new works, special events, and a children's theatre workshop each year, Electric City Playhouse has affordably entertained and engaged the Anderson-area community since 1984.
Henderson Auditorium at Anderson University
This thousand seat auditorium serves as Anderson University's large performance venue, located off of Kingsley Road next to Thrift Library. Ample parking is provided on the other side of the building.
Thrift Library – Vandiver Gallery at Anderson University
The Vandiver Gallery, located in the Anderson University Thrift Library, is not a gallery with a permanent collection on exhibit, but a steadily rotating exhibition space that aims to directly influence our current population. Exhibitions highlight works in professional arts as well as studio-based arts: graphic design, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and other mediums.
Rainey Fine Arts Center – Belk Theatre at Anderson University
The Belk Theatre at the Rainey Fine Arts Center at Anderson University is a flexible, black box space used by the South Carolina School of the Arts. Located on the lower level of the Rainey Fine Arts Center, Belk Theatre can be adapted into any number of configurations including proscenium, thrust and theatre-in-the-round. It is equipped with permanent catwalks and a lighting/sound booth. Various main stage productions and theatre laboratory style classes meet in this space. The Belk Theatre typically seats around 100 people per performance.
South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University
The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University trains professional visual, musical and theatrical artists who are serious about both their art and Christian faith. Staffed by highly trained and world-class artists, musicians, actors, dancers, theatrical designers, and scholars, we mentor students to develop their artistry to its fullest potential so they may thrive professionally and serve others through the arts.
