Pinewood’s arts faculty members, who graduated from leading university arts programs, have years of experience in their fields as artists and as instructors.

Flowertown Players is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization and has been creating magic for audience members in Summerville and the greater Charleston community for over 40 years. Each season, The James F. Dean Community Theatre stage comes alive with children shows, comedy, drama, and musical theatre, bringing education, entertainment and thought- provoking productions.
The mission of the Flowertown Players is to produce and present quality community theatre to encourage and promote educational and literary performing arts projects for all segments of the tri-county population, and to provide a venue for thespians, artists, technicians and other creative people to practice their crafts.
Timrod Library
Dedicated to contributing to the quality of life in Summerville by providing the community a variety of print, audio, and video materials and by preserving the historic building in which the collection is housed.
Summerville Dorchester Museum
The museum is nestled in the heart of historic downtown Summerville, South Carolina, right next door to the Ice House restaurant.It includes displays upstairs, downstairs and a tour of the small courtyard including the Saul Alexander garden house pictured above.
Art Central, Ltd.
Art Central, ltd is a cooperative art gallery founded in 1998 featuring the work of 13 Summerville artists. The gallery includes fine art in a variety of mediums, reproductions, one of a kind, hand crafted jewelry, sweet grass baskets, wood turnings and hand crafted walking sticks. An artist is always "on duty" to answer your questions. We are always happy to share our knowledge of our art and our community.
