Midlands theater vet launches ‘artist-driven’ Soda City Theatre Company in West Columbia

A Lexington County city has a new performing arts group adding to its exponential growth.
For Midlands theater veteran Debra Leopard, co-founder of the new Soda City Theatre Company, there’s always another act, another season and another beginning … Earlier this year, Leopard created the Soda City Theatre Company, based in West Columbia where she lives. The arts-friendly area has been home to two previous groups over the last four decades, Act One Theatre and On Stage Productions, and hosts numerous arts and culture-themed events, such as Soiree on State and the Meeting Street Music Fest.
