Good morning!
“Tuning Up” is a morning post series where The Hub delivers curated, quick-hit arts stories of interest to readers. Sometimes there will be one story, sometimes there will be several. Get in tune now, and have a masterpiece of a day. And now, in no particular order…
Hampton III Gallery opens Autumn Wind tonight
Boyd Saunders in Greenville* tonight
*Well, Taylors, technically.
Happy Friday from Hub HQ, where we are happy to share news of a decorated artist at a decorated gallery.
Printmaker and professor (prolific at both, may we add?) Boyd Saunders begins a six-week run on exhibit at Hampton III Gallery tonight with an artist reception from 6-8 p.m. (3110 Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite 10, Taylors). Later in the month, there will be a Coffee & Conversation event, on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon.
Autumn Wind features select Saunders works dating from the 1960’s to a work completed just last week.
Saunders and Hampton III Gallery were both honored with Governor’s Awards for the Arts (in 2002 and 2019, respectively). Saunders has works in the SCAC’s State Art Collection and The Johnson Collection in Spartanburg.
