Traditional artists invited to apply for apprenticeship program

The South Carolina Arts Commission’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Initiative helps master artists pass their artistic and cultural knowledge to qualified apprentices, who continue to pursue the art form beyond the life of the apprenticeship. The program provides funds for a master artist’s time and for the cost of travel and materials.

To be considered for this grant, you must contact Julianne Carroll, 803-734-8764, to discuss your project by January 22, 2013. If your project meets the guidelines, Julianne will work with you to prepare your application. The application process must be completed by March 15, 2013.
