Toe River Arts Council invites artists to apply for juried exhibition
The Toe River Arts Council in Burnsville, N.C., invites artists to apply for the first Toe River Juried Art Show, being held Oct. 17 – Nov, 14, 2015. The exhibition is open to professional and amateur artists age 18 and older in Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina. All mediums accepted. Work must be original, created within the past two years, exhibition-ready and available for sale. Cash prizes total $2,000.
Application deadline is August 18, 2015.
Denise Dickens will serve as juror. As the public art coordinator for the Town of Cary, N.C., Dickens manages a rotating exhibitions program and works with artists to incorporate their designs and thinking into municipal projects. Dickens has spent 25-plus years working in art museums as educator, curator, and executive director. During her career, Dickens has received a number of awards, including a J. Paul Getty Fellowship and travel grants for the Arts and the Ministry of Culture of Israel.
