Sumter County Gallery of Art needs a new leader

Sumter County is current looking for a new executive director.

The ideal candidate is someone who will carry out the mission of the Sumter County Gallery of Art to present and promote the visual arts, to increase the knowledge and appreciation thereof, and to provide visual art and art education opportunities, as well as managing the operations and directs the programming of the gallery.

Long-time Executive Director Karen Watson is retiring. Hub readers no doubt recall the gallery is a current recipient of the Governor’s Award for the Arts in the organization category.
