Screen Southern Circuit indie films in your community

South Arts is now accepting applications for partner venues for the 2013-2014 Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers! The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers is the South’s only tour of filmmakers, providing communities with an interactive way of experiencing independent film. Launched in 1975, the tour has visited close to 100 communities across the Southern United States. In these communities, audiences have engaged with filmmakers in post-screening discussions of the subjects and themes portrayed in their works, and the art of filmmaking.

There is no fee for interested organizations to apply for the 2013-2014 Southern Circuit. Nonprofit applicant organizations must be located in one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. ET on February 15, 2013. Applicants will be notified of their selection by February 22, 2013.
