S.C. Poetry Archives Book Prize winner and call for art
The Ninety-Six Press has awarded the 2012 South Carolina Poetry Archives Book Prize to Warren Slesinger. His collection of poems, The Evening Light, was published on April 17, 2013.
Submissions for the 2013 prize will be accepted between May 1 and July 1, 2013. Manuscripts should be sent electronically to 96Press@furman.edu. Poets should review the submissions guidelines and the eligibility requirements carefully before sending their work.
About the South Carolina Poetry Archives
The South Carolina Poetry Archives at Furman University is a unique collection of published works, manuscripts and ephemeral materials from more than 100 authors. The collection highlights 20th and 21st century poets connected to South Carolina by birth, employment, residence or subject matter.
The Archives includes works of all South Carolina poets laureate, literary fellows selected by the South Carolina Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, Pushcart Prize winners, South Carolina Fiction Prize winners, Piccolo Spoleto Fiction prize winners and recipients of many other significant awards.
