Remembering Dr. Betty Jane Bramlett
We are sad to note the passing of Dr. Betty Jane Bramlett, arts educator extraordinaire. She received the Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Governor’s Award for the Arts in 1989 and served on the S.C. Arts Commission from 1977-1980. Dr. Bramlett, of Spartanburg, S.C., died February 1, 2015.
For 42 years she served as Fine Arts Coordinator for Spartanburg County School District Seven, influencing generations of students and teachers.
