Redux Art Center opens artist retreats in N.C. mountains

Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston is hosting three weeks of artist retreats in Little Switzerland, North Carolina.

Registration is now open, and workshops are filling up quickly!

The retreat happens three weeks out of the year, July 16-22, July 23-29, and October 23-29. Participants can choose from a large variety of week-long workshops such as relief printmaking, introduction to metal-smithing and jewelry, Plein air painting, nature photography, paper making, ceramics, figure drawing, and more!

Students and instructors stay at Wildacres Retreat, which is located right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and then eat, breathe, and sleep art all week long. Students work in the studio in the morning and then can choose to stay in the studio the rest of the day, relax on campus, or explore the surrounding area. Instructors are all professional practicing artists with teaching experience.

This is a wonderful opportunity to exercise and nourish one’s creative spirit with a week of artistic practice, sharing, networking, and disconnecting from daily distractions and stressors of everyday life.
