One Columbia posts residency, internship opportunities
One Columbia for Arts & Culture is stepping up its public art game as we head into 2024.

One Columbia, under the leadership of new Executive Director Xavier Blake, is Columbia’s cultural affairs office, a partner of the SCAC, and a recipient of the Governor’s Award for the Arts in the organization category.
Public Art Residency

- COMPENSATION INFORMATION: $12,600 stipend for 9 months + allowance for creation of required artwork

As artists work in communities to create new works of public art, that work has the power to spark conversation, to create positive social change, and to advocate for human rights. To this end, we are offering a 9-month public art residency in Columbia, SC. One Columbia’s commitment to the representation of historically marginalized communities is a core value in the selection process.
One Columbia is seeking artists who want to grow their practice around engaging with disinvested communities, creating inclusionary experiences, and using their art to make significant positive changes.
BIPOC Public Art Administration Internship

One Columbia for Arts and Culture BIPOC Public Art Administration Internship is a hands-on, immersive, opportunity to learn about the public art program at a local art agency.
The intern will work closely with the Public Art Administrator in all aspects of the public art program. This internship is ideally suited for those interested in pursuing a career in public art administration, public artist management, and/or the arts nonprofit sector. One Columbia’s commitment to historically marginalized individuals is a core value in the selection process.
